We said goodbye to our Year 6 children this week. They held their Leavers’ Party on Monday, followed by a limo and meal at Pizza Express, then on Tuesday was their Leavers’ Service and balloon release. We wish them all every success in their new school. They will be missed.
Some of our Year 3 enjoyed taking part in Bikeability on Tuesday and Wednesday. It really helped to increase their confidence when riding their bikes, and taught them how to stay safe.
Kestrels and Owls were really lucky to receive a special visitor on Tuesday, Rhea's Great Grandad. He came in to talk to them about WW2. He showed them lots of photos and documents and they had the opportunity to ask lots of questions.
Thursday afternoon was rewards afternoon. The children all enjoyed receiving their rewards: swimming, Vertigo, watching a movie, eating McDonalds etc.
After a busy end to the term, the children finished school at 1pm on Friday. We hope you all have a lovely Summer holidays.
Congratulations to all of the children who received certificates in our Celebration Assemblies this week. It was great to see so many parents and grandparents in school and church.
Unfortunately sports day was cancelled on Wednesday due to the bad weather. Luckily it improved for Thursday when all of the children went to Tamworth Stadium. They all took part in running, throwing and jumping events. It was a great morning and everyone had a lot of fun participating in the events.
It has been a really busy week in school.
On Monday afternoon all of the children went to the Coton Centre for play rehearsals, and then on Tuesday they spent the day there too. They then put on 2 fantastic performances of the 'Beauty and the Beast', at 2pm and again at 6pm. We are really proud of all of the children. It was so nice to hear so many lovely comments too.
On Thursday morning we welcomed in to school the new intake Nursery children with parents. We hope they enjoyed spending time in Robins classroom and look forward to them joining us in September.
Friday was Non uniform day & teddy bears' picnic lunch. This was organised by the children to help raise money for new lap tops. The children all enjoyed a picnic lunch outside on the field with their teddies.
