Growing In Faith and Learning
A welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome to St. Leonard’s C of E (A) Primary School & Nursery. I am incredibly proud to lead this school, a vibrant and inclusive community tucked away in the beautiful village of Wigginton.
At St. Leonard’s, we are more than just a school; we are a family where every child is at the heart of every decision we make. Guided by our inspiring vision of "Growing in Faith and Learning," our strong Christian values create a warm, nurturing environment where every individual can thrive.
We are deeply committed to cherishing the uniqueness of each child, celebrating their diverse talents and ensuring they feel a true sense of belonging from their very first day in our Nursery through to Year 6.
Central to our ethos is our commitment to restorative practice. We believe in building, maintaining, and repairing strong relationships through inclusive dialogue and mutual respect. By fostering a culture of empathy and accountability, we provide a safe space where children are nurtured to take risks and learn from their mistakes, building the emotional resilience they need for the future.
Our dedicated team is passionate about supporting our pupils to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually. We pride ourselves on delivering a rich and engaging curriculum that sparks curiosity and a lifelong love of learning. While we may be small in size, we do BIG things—from exciting extra-curricular adventures to meaningful community projects that allow our children to shine in their own wonderful way.
I warmly invite you to visit us and experience the joy and connection of our unique school family first-hand.
