Growing In Faith and Learning

'Growing in Faith and Learning' 'Life in all it's fullness' John 10:10

Welcome to St Leonard's CofE Primary School

Welcome to St. Leonard’s Church of England Primary School. We hope our website gives you a flavour of our vibrant, happy school and the achievements of our delightful children. We are a thriving church school in the picturesque village of Wigginton with a strong Christian ethos, growing in faith and learning. We passionately believe in developing the ‘whole child’ and ensure all children have the opportunity to reach their goals and shine in their own unique and wonderful way. Our kind, caring and dedicated team nurture, motivate and encourage our children to be confident and well-rounded members of their community. I am incredibly proud to be the Headteacher of St. Leonard’s, a place where children develop a passion for learning, feel good about themselves, are proud of their achievements and create lasting memories of friendship and connection in our school family. I warmly invite you to come and visit us at St. Leonard’s Mrs Kirsty Cullen, Headteacher.

This week

On Wednesday all of the children from Reception to Year 6 went to church for our Harvest Service.  It was lovely to see so many parents there too.  Thank you very much for all of your kind donations, these have now been taken to the Tamworth Food Bank. Thank you also to Mrs Drew, a volunteer at the food bank, who came into school and took worship.

On Thursday it was great to welcome parents/carers of children in Years 1 to 6 to the English workshop.  We hope to see you again next week when we will be holding our Maths workshops.

FOSLS held a Macmillan Coffee morning on Friday and raised £223. Thank you to everyone that made/donated cakes and to those that came along and bought them.

Reception took home their first reading books this week. The children from last years Kingfishers Class wrote to the Queen in May to congratulate her on her 90th birthday.  They were very excited to receive a letter in reply this week.

It was the turn of year 3 and 4 for Forest Schools with Mrs Smith. Keep an eye on the gallery for photos of their sessions.
